NOVEMBER 2020

Maria Popistasu has won BEST ACTRESS  for her work in Majority at the UK Tweet Film Festival. Enzo Hoffe was nominated Best Actor, Carl Pollard was nominated for Best Cinematography and Tessa Hoffe won BEST SCREENPLAY.

Short film Spinosaurus has been selected to to screen at Asthetica Film Festival  as a part of a Cinesisters curated collection.

WAYNE originally premiered on YouTube Premium but has now been picked up by Amazon Prime. This wild ride premieres on Amazon on Nov 6th. Tessa directed episodes 4 and 5

OCTOBER 2020

Majority had a fantastic response during the Bafta qualifying BFI London Film Festival playing online for free on BFI player. The UK premiere for Majority reached a wide audience unlike any other UK festival premiere in 2020.

Majority was also selected in competition for the newly Bafta qualifying Bolton International Film Festival.

SEPTEMBER 2020

Majority has been selected in the BFI London Film Festival! Huge news for our film. Majority will be able to be viewed online through BFI Player during the festival dates. 7th - 18th October 2020.

 

AUGUST 2020

After shutting down production in March on Netflix's ZERO CHILL due to the Covid-19 pandemic,  filming resumed in August. Tessa completed the filming of five episodes for Block 2.

JULY 2020

Tessa's debut feature SALVAGE has been picked up for development by Sixteen Films with producer Jack Thomas O'Brien.

Sixteen Films recently produced I, Daniel Blake, Sorry we missed you and co-produced Lyn Ramsey's You were never really there.

Spinosaurus has been selected to screen as a part of a special curated selection of films from members of Cinesisters at ASTHETICA 2020

JUNE 2020

MAJORITY  has been selected to screen in competition at Palm Springs SFF 2020

Competing in the Live Action over 15 mins and the Local Jury Award.

MAJORITY is now eligible for BAFTA and BiFA nominations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MAY 2020

Tessa is now being represented by Nicola Biltoo at The Agency (UK) 

joining forces with Katy McCaffrey and David Rubin at Gersh in the US and Lesa Kirk at Open Entertainment Management (US).

APRIL 2020

MAJORITY has been selected to screen in competition at Krakow Film Festival. One of only 13 films selected for one the oldest and most prestigious short film festivals in Europe. KSFF is Oscar, BAFTA and European Film Award affiliated. Online screening and World Premiere of MAJORITY will take place in late May.

JANUARY 2020

Tessa is Block 2 Director on Season One Netflix Family drama, ZERO CHILL. Filming in Sheffield, United Kingdom

Tessa has been Main Unit Pick Up Director and 2nd Unit Director on Ted Lasso.  Comedy/Drama for AppleTV and Warners Bros.

OCTOBER 2019

Early Development Funding has been awarded to Tessa Hoffe Writer/Director and Lauren Parker Producer for their feature film project SALVAGE.

Spinosaurus has been selected to screen at the Inwward Eye Film Festival. Screening on 7th November at Zeffirellis in the Lake District. Tickets here

MAY 2019

MAJORITY, my new short film made in association with the BFI Network is in the can! Filmed in Manchester over 3 days with a wonderful ensemble cast led by MARIA POPISTASU and DAVID NEILSON. Currently in post-production.

APRIL 2019

Tessa Hoffe  has won BEST FEMALE FILMMAKER for Spinosaurus at Undependance Film Festival in Edinburgh.

Spinosaurus has been selected to screen at Lost World Film Festival in Crete and  River Film Festival in Venice.

 

MARCH 2019

Youth and Consequences has been nomintated for an Emmy for BEST DIGITAL DRAMA SERIES. Tessa directed two episodes for this series.

FEBRUARY 2019

We are thrilled to announce Tessa Hoffe's new short film 'Majority' is in pre-production. Produced by Lauren Parker, with the support of the BFI , 'Majority' will be filmed in early May 2019

Spinosaurus will be screened in competition at the New Renaissance Film Festival in Amsterdam

March 1st -3rd March

Spinosaurus has been selected to screen at UNdependance Film Festival in Edinburgh  4th-7th April 2019.

 

JANUARY 2019

Wayne has been released on YouTube Premium to rave reviews. Episode Five Directed by Tessa Hoffe and written by Lauren Houseman has been singled out in particular.

NOVEMBER 2018

Spinosaurus screens in competition at Norwich International Film festival, Two short Nights Film Festival and Aaretaler Kurzfilmfestival in Switzerland.

 

Spinosaurus has also been licensed to Vlaamse Radio and Television and HBO Europe. And is currently being screened on the in flight BA Programme.

AUGUST 2018

Spinosaurus has been selected for the Sioux City International Film Festival in US,  Norwich International Film Festival and the Bolton International Film Festival.

Spinosaurus is a finalist in EXIT 6 International Film Festival, screening in September in Basingstoke.

JULY 2018

Spinosaurus has been selected to screen at the New Zealand International Film Festival. Screenings in Auckland and Wellington in the Foreign Correspondence Programme.

JUNE 2018

Tessa directed two episodes of WAYNE for Youtube Red Premium. Created by Shawn Simmons and Executive Produced by Deadpool writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.

Spinosaurus WON The Blue Cat Short Film Festival in Los Angeles for

BEST DRAMA.

Ross Adams won Best Dramatic Performance at the British Soap Awards with his outstanding work on the Hollyoaks storyline 'Scott's Suicide', epidsode Directed by Tessa Hoffe.

MAY 2018

 

Spinosaurus has had an incredible couple of months Winning BEST BRITISH DRAMA at the Discover Film Awards in London, FINALIST at the Bluecat Film Festival in Los Angeles and winning BEST DRAMA and BEST PERFORMANCE for Georgia Bowran at The Brooklyn Women's Film Festival in New York.

There have been a whole bunch of screenings, Dresden Short Film Festival, The Womens Film Festival in Philidelphia, Newport Beach, Kurzfilmwoche in Regensburg and new official selections with screenings at High Peak International Film Festival, Emden Norderney, Stockholm IFF and Aaretaler Kurzfilmfestival in Switzerland. 

Hollyoaks was nominated for a BAFTA this month which included my work on the 'Scott Suicide Storyline'. This storyline is also nominated at the British Soap Awards, With Ross Adams up for best dramatic performance and myself up for Best Scene of the Year. This event is filmed live in London in June.

JANUARY 2018

 

Great news winning BEST DIRECTOR at the Redline International Film Festival in Toronto. With upcoming screenings at Oxford International Film Festival in Mississippi and Fargo International Film Festival.

Spinosaurus has won BEST DRAMA at Canada Shorts. It has also screened at San Jose Short Film Festival this month. January has Spinosaurus in competition at London Short Film Festival.
